Equine Flow Bodywork
Connecting mind and body through integrated therapeutic bodywork.
At Willow River Equestrian, our Equine Flow Bodywork offers a holistic experience tailored to your horse's individual needs. Each session integrates a variety of gentle yet powerful techniques, guided by our philosophy of connection and understanding, to promote physical and energetic harmony.

Reiki Energy Connection (5-10 minutes):
We begin by establishing a calm and connected energy with your horse through gentle Reiki hand placements, creating a supportive foundation for the session, in line with our focus on emotional well-being.
Integrated Bodywork (30-40 minutes):
Working systematically along your horse's body, we'll utilize a blend of techniques as needed, based on what your horse is showing us, drawing on our understanding of equine psychology:
- Massage: To ease muscle tension and improve circulation.
-
Masterson Method® Concepts: Utilizing light touch to encourage the release of deep-seated tension.
-
Therapeutic Stretching: Gentle movements to enhance flexibility and range of motion.
-
Releases: Applying sustained pressure or positional adjustments to alleviate restrictions.
-
Trigger Point Therapy: Addressing specific points of pain and tension.
-
Gentle Joint Mobilization/Manipulation: To help restore optimal joint movement.
Post-Session Hand Walking (5-10 minutes):
We'll encourage a short period of gentle hand walking or turnout to help your horse integrate the bodywork and feel the benefits of the releases.
Integration and Feedback (5 minutes):
Allowing your horse a moment to absorb the session, followed by a discussion with you about our findings and any recommendations for ongoing care, reinforcing our commitment to your partnership.
